Building the Pipeline: Assessing NJ's Talent Supply and Demand
A message from Tom Bracken, President and CEO of the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce:
At the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce, our mission is to fight for a better business climate and a stronger economy on which NJ companies can build their businesses. We need a New Jersey that is more affordable and more competitive if we are going to realize our full economic potential. With the advantages and assets New Jersey enjoys, our economy should be one of the strongest and most robust in the nation.
A large part of that equation is having the skilled workers available locally to fill the jobs employers have available. When we heard from the business community that employers were having challenges finding job candidates with the requisite skills to fill vacancies, we worked closely with our Foundation to find out why.
I encourage you to read through the challenges and recommendations of this workforce development study and participate in one of the remaining two roundtable business discussions listed below.
The New Jersey Chamber of Commerce and Foundation stand at the ready to work with the business community and government agencies to find viable solutions to labor supply and demand imbalances.
We invite you to have a voice at the table as we identify best practices and effective solutions. Thank you to the Prudential Foundation for providing the financial support to make this study possible.
Business Roundtable Discussions
We need YOUR voice at the table to discuss how we can work collaboratively to implement some of the recommended solutions in the report, further investigate best practices and replicable solutions.
Due to the limited seating at each location, registration will be limited to one representative per company. Registration will be confirmed through an email from the NJCCF.
